A gala event has occurred in Gaza.
Hamas sponsored a mass wedding for four hundred and fifty couples. Most of the grooms were in their mid to late twenties; most of brides were under ten.
Muslim dignitaries including Mahmud Zahar, a leader of Hamas, were on hand to congratulate the couples who took part in the carefully staged celebration.
“We are saying to the world and to America that you cannot deny us joy and happiness,” Zahar told the grooms, all of whom were dressed in identical black suits and hailed from the nearby Jabalia refugee camp.
Each groom received a gift of 500 dollars from Hamas.
The pre-pubescent girls, dressed in white gowns and adorned with garish make-up, received bridal bouquets.
“We are presenting this wedding as a gift to our people who stood firm in the face of the siege and the war,” local Hamas strongman Ibrahim Salaf said in a speech.
The wedding photos tell the rest of the sordid tale.
The International Center for Research on Women now estimates that there are 51 million child brides now living on planet earth and almost all in Muslim countries.
Twenty-nine percent of these child brides are regularly beaten and molested by their husbands in Egypt; twenty six percent receive similar abuse in Jordan.
Every year, three million Muslim girls are subjected to genital mutilation, according to UNICEF. This practice has not been outlawed in many parts of America.
The Islamic practice of pedophilia dates back to the prophet Muhammad, who amassed eleven wives and many concubines after the death of his furst wife Khadijah in 619 A.D.
After Muhammad’s elderly wife, Khadijah, died in 619 A.D., he amassed eleven wives. He arranged the visits to the tents of his women around their menstrual cycles. His capacity for sexual congress seemed to be boundless. Sahih Bukhari, one of the most revered Islamic texts, recounts: “The Prophet used to visit his wives in a round, during the day and night, and they were eleven in number. I asked Anas, “Had the Prophet the strength for it?’ Anas replied, ‘We used to say that the Prophet had the [sexual] stamina of thirty [men].’”[1]
For in-between treats, the Prophet kept a stable of concubines, including Reihana, his Jewish captive. His wives and mistresses were compelled by Islamic law to satisfy his sexual needs at any time of the day or night, and the Prophet reserved the right to enjoy them “from the top of their heads to the bottom of their feet.”[2]
This might not appear shocking to students of the Kinsley Report, except for the case of Aisha, Muhammad’s favorite wife. Aisha was the daughter of Abu Bakr, the Prophet’s closest friend and most faithful follower. As soon as Muhammad laid eyes on Aisha, he became to fantasize of having sex with her. There was a problem with this fantasy. Aisha, at that time, was a small child of four or five, while Muhammad was a middle-aged man of fifty.[3]
Still and all, the Prophet wasted no time in making his fantasy a reality. When Aisha turned six, Muhammad asked Abu Bakr for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Abu Bakr thought that such a union would be improper – - not because Aisha was a mere child but rather because he considered himself Muhammad’s brother. The Prophet quickly brushed aside this objection by saying that the union was perfectly right in the eyes of Allah. Abu Bakr consented. And Muhammad took the little girl as his new bride.
When they were married, Muhammad, in his mercy, permitted Aisha to take her toys, including her dolls, to their new tent.[4] The marriage was consummated when Aisha was nine, and the Prophet fifty-three.[5] The three year waiting period was not caused by Muhammad’s concern of sexually molesting a child but rather by the fact that Aisha contracted some disease which caused her to lose her hair.[6]
Pedophilia was not only practiced by Muhammad but also sanctioned by the Quran. In its discussion of the waiting period required to determine if a wife is pregnant before divorce, the sacred text says, “If you are in doubt concerning those of your wives who have ceased menstruating, know that their waiting period shall be three months. The same shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated”(65:4). Those who think that modern Muslims have abandoned this teaching should study the pictures and videos that accompany this article and recall the words of Ayatollah Khomeini, the most famous Islamic cleric of the 20th Century:
A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate; sodomizing the child is OK. If a man penetrates and damages the child, then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however, does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister. . . It is better for a girl to marry in such a time when she would begin menstruation at her husband’s house rather than her father’s house. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven.[7]

One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live A SAINTLY LIFE.

I have been an ordained Christian clergyman for some 45 years, was in the Civil Rights Movement with Dr. King, Jesse Jackson, marched at Selma, Alabama, in Chicago, and was at the March on Washington in 1963, etc. I spend 10-20 hours per week still in learning about complex events and controversial issues, including
(1) facts vs assertions
(2) real history vs. myths (about my country, racism, human and civil rights, terrorism, prejudice) and
(3) about my faith/religious history, yours, and others .
Thank you for speaking truth to people called Christian and Crusaders, many of whom don’t want to hear, who want to believe only evil about “the other” and desire to condemn. But many, too, are searching for the truth and want to honor it.
Furthermore, I can’t even communicate in a second language, and you are making your points (if anyone cares to hear) in somewhat broken English–your 3rd language! Thanks for not letting critics shut you down for what they consider illiterate or ungrammatical English. You do communicate—and far better than most of us could!
Admittedly, it is hard for the average Christian, Muslim, or Jew to know the facts vs the loud assertions of “Fundamentalists” of all ilks and traditions who are
(1) ignorant of their own history and
(2) who ignorantly think theirs is the only (as well as true) Way (often with the support of some of their Scriptures!), and
(3) who ignorantly think all others are “infidels,” “without the one true God,” and should be forced to convert or be killed.
We Christians taught that and did that for many centuries–in Europe, North and South America–before our U. S. Founding Fathers invented that wonderful thing called “Religious Liberty.” (They’d seen and read of so much wanton human destruction and coercions of consciences, thought, and behaviors in the name of religion and ”established” State-churches. Christianity as a vital heart religion of love for all God’s children was changed under Constantine and state-churches into “head beliefs” and “orthodoxy.”—and for the next 1400 years “heretics” and the “un-orthodox” or “infidels” were legally penalized, harassed, exiled, ghettoed, coerced, tortured and/or killed from time to time. Our treatment of and pogroms and massacres of the Jews in Europe is especially ignoble—centuries of it!
It took us fourteen hundred years to discover that a secular government with freedom of religion and no one free to coerce others was the best, most beneficial way to honor God and man!. Religious Liberty (the separation of religious covenants from political or civic ones) promoted the free, true, constructive, up-building of Christianity, all other religions, and honored and didn’t violate the integrity of those who couldn’t “believe” also! All—even “atheists” or so-called “infidels”– were at law and ought to be free ! No one could be legally coerced in thought, word, and deed, nor forced to support a religious group, pay ministers, support educational institutions, with taxes or by law!
Too many Christians condemn all Muslims for the extremist words and horrible actions of a small, terrorist minority. We Christians and U. S. citizens have been ignorant of or have ignored the terrorism rampant in our national history and our religious tradition starting with Constantine in 313 A.D., which explains only a part of our “self-righteousness” and absolute put-downs.
We have tended to believe the myths of the “solid South” where blacks and whites got along and loved each other and the Civil War was primarily about States’ rights. Books such as Blackmon’s Slavery By Another Name reveal the true story of a South where terrorism and virtual slavery was an everyday experience for many, many “blacks and some whites for a hundred years, reinforced by State and local laws and customs slowly built and re-built after 1876. Jim Crow laws, 3, 000 hangings, etc. were but the “tips of the Southern apartheid ice bergs.” “We Shall Overcome” overcame more than most of us still know, much more than simple segregation and discrimination at law.
The State of Jones, however, tells of Newton Knight and the bottom third of Mississippi staying loyal to the Union and the Constitution and black citizen rights while successfully fighting off and fighting Confederate soldiers during and especially after the Civil War! Especially after CSA’s “Twenty Slave Law” (plantation owners didn’t have to go fight) many white farmers and others saw the event as “a rich man’s war fought by poor whites.” So they deserted in droves and rebelled against the “rebellion.” There would likely have been no Civil War if a referendum were held in 1860-61! People who believed in Constitutional rights for all and true Christianity (Loving God with all…and thy neighbor as thyself) tended to get killed in the South from the late 1870’s on. Terrorism (re blacks, Indians, Chinese, etc)—as well as slowly overcoming it—is a part of our United States heritage, too, Hichem..
All have sinned and do sin, with the best of intentions! We all “miss the mark.” We all need to think twice—and study often—before we speak! And avoid “knee-jerk responses.” It is too late for all our traditions to be pure and righteous altogether. And not one of us can legitimately wear “white hats.”
Finally, we each need to be centers of freedom and love. And fighters for peace, truth, justice, non-violence, and brotherhood. As much as possible, we need to work for human welfare, and the honoring of all humanity, especially women and children who are often respected and cared for last and least.. All our practices and religions need to be reformed and re-forming. And against prejudice, lies, scape-goating, and coercing and killing others just for being, and especially in the name of religion. To believe in God is to trust a Father who makes of us all brothers and sisters. Since our religions have proven to be wrong or unenlightened or less than humane in times past, it is past time for all religions to quit torturing and killing those who are declared by some Scriptures to be perverted or deviant or beyond the pale! I believe the God who sees us through and through and loves us still and all wants us to do likewise, even if we have to move against particular persons for particular reasons at times. To adopt the words of the Jewish faith tradition (Micah), I’ll close with the hard-to-do but blessed and blessing summary, I believe, for all of us: “What does the Lord require of thee, O man, but to do justice [or “justly”], to love mercy [lovingkindness, forgiveness, doing good and showing compassion for all], and to walk in humility [not “puffed up” with pride, not “self-righteous,” not absolutely sure, but listening to God, hearing and hearkening] with thy God.” Peace. Pedophilia—it’s something that happens among, extremist Muslims on rare occasions or is related to some traditions, but it is not really a part of Islam. The stories of Muhammad’s young wife may not necessarily be trustworthy; some accounts say she was a seventeen (17) years old.
I am a moderate Muslim who lives in Egypt. I assure you, if someone in Egypt marries a woman under eighteen (18) , he goes to jail!
People, please stop being afraid of Islam because of fanatics. There are fanatics in every religion. But that’s because they are a little crazy; it has nothing to do with religion! We can’t know for sure, because it happened 1400 years ago! If she was that young, are we so right to judge? Maybe that was natural, the norm, 1400 years ago. Things that were the norm a few centuries ago in Europe, weird traditions like the Christian King of France getting to sleep with his Lords’ betrotheds on their wedding night, his sleeping with the new wives of the court before their husbands get to—you wouldn’t, you can’t apply that to your country today, can you? Finally, real Muslims don’t manipulate religion to achieve their desires. We get Muhammad’s message and holy book (Quran) from the prophet. His personal life is his own private business. Why? Because he was a human being, not a god (as in your religion). (This is a chief difference between our religions: our prophet is not God, as in your religion.) In some cases, he was forced to go to war against those who betrayed him. Most of the time, however, he chose peace. In a number of the countries he conquered, people were happy to escape from the injustices of the Roman empire. And both Christians and Jews lived in peace under the Islamic Empire for centuries. I am a Christian Arab living in the west, when I heard these news I was very shocked, but then I made thourough web research both in English and in Arabic. This is what I found out:
In this case, it is true that these girls are flower girls. In the Arab tradition, a girl from the groom’s family ” his niece, or even hs younger sister” is the flower girl, and they should be less than 12 years old so they would be allowed to wear sleevless dress and not cover their heads in public. The brides do not appear in the celebrations, becasue they are not allowed. if you search the web, you will see the palestinian brides covering not only thier heads but their faces as well wiht thick material. Notice in the picture that the grooms in the secod and third line are not holding hands wiht any girls, that is because these girls are only in the front line of the celebration.
Yes there are marriages that happen between older men and under age girls especially in the oil countries, but not in this incident. I am sure whoever started these news did not make a thourough research and was not present in this ceremony. Musims need Jesus, to have, peace and hope, but when we start such wild news, we are building a higher wall between us…

Islamic Extremism May Save Western Civilization

It would shock and probably offend most Americans to learn the truth that the reason they are here, their power, their affluence and position in the world is directly because of the Islamic religion and the Arab culture. That’s right, the very “ragheads” and “Hajis” (as Limbaugh, Liddy, and some of the others often call them) that the US is now fighting are directly responsible for the preeminence and power of not just the United States, but of the entire Western world in general.
Besides the fact that Western Civilization began in the area of the Fertile Crescent, also known as Mesopotamia (present day Iraq), it is as well an historical fact beyond dispute that it was the learning and sophistication of the Arab culture that led to many of the scientific developments that would later make Europe the cradle of science, learning, and advancement. After the institutionalization of the Islamic religion throughout the Mediterranean region, the extent of Arab learning and culture was such that European Kings, Christian Kings, would send their sons and daughters to be educated in Moslem places such as Cordova and Toledo. Christian Crusaders coming back from the Middle East told of the richness of Arab culture, leading to Europeans’ desire for Arab goods, which in turn led to trade routes between Europe and the Middle East. The resulting wealth created from that trade with the Arabs led to the ascendancy of power for European city-states such as Venice and Florence, which became the birthplaces of the Renaissance in Europe. Arab advancements in navigation, from the Astrolabe to the compass to the fast sailing ship known as the Caravel made possible the arrival in the New World of the Europeans. Let’s not forget, Spain and Portugal, those two powers who held a virtual monopoly on exploration in the New World for quite a while, were, for 700 years, held by the Arabs.
What will gall Americans even more, especially those who call themselves Christian, is the idea that it may be the Arab and Muslim culture that will be not only the birthplace of Western Civilization, but the savior of it as well.
As evidenced by the nightly news right now, there is a war going on. Superficially, it is about things like “terrorism” and “freedom.” There are some who go a step further and blame oil and banking, not to mention “lebensraum” for Israel. And while all these things do play a part, some greater than others, the real war here is between two world views.
During the debates that took place in the UN between the internationalist cabal led by France, Germany, Russia, Belgium, and China on one side and the nationalists led by the United States, Great Britain, (and behind the scenes, Israel,) there was this “tossing around” of phrases in coded language. The nationalist crowd, represented in the debates by Colin Powell, spoke of “Old Europe” in a castigating attempt to portray those opposing the war against Iraq as somehow backwards in their thinking, as opposed to those in the New World, who were enlightened and were here to save all humanity against dangerous men and dangerous ideas. And although we know that the reasons for the internationalist crowd opposing the war against Iraq had little to do with anything other than protecting their own business interests as well as staving off US hegemony in the world in favor of internationalist hegemony, it did illustrate that there is, at least on the part of the “coalition of the willing” a desire to do away with that ethos held by the Old World (meaning the Middle-East) that serves as an obstacle in building that New World Order that Bush the Elder discussed more than a decade ago, even if it means seeing the US leading it rather than the UN.
To the “New World,” and by default the New World Order, the Arab/Muslim world is backwards in its values. It prohibits abortion and birth control. They have large families, as opposed to the West, where the average family has only 2 children. It prohibits usury banking, to which the West credits its own economic superiority. Theirs is a “closed” society (read into this no sodomy, pornography, gay lifestyle, et al) Theirs is a “cruel” society (read into this-they do not have people on death row for 20 years) And finally, they will not play the game the way the market wants it played, meaning, they want a just price for their only real source of wealth, their oil, instead of giving it away to the West for a fraction of its worth. In other words, the picture that has just been painted here is, the Muslim world is now what the Christian world once was and should be.
One can already hear the roar coming out of the mouths of many who have not been thinking of this in a critical way, particularly those well-paid mouthpieces on TV and radio masquerading themselves as Christians. “The religion of Mohammed is better than the religion of Jesus Christ?!” No, rather, what is meant here is that the religion of Islam resembles Christianity more than does the Christianity of the West today, because the Christianity of the West today isn’t Christianity at all, but a watered-down amalgamation of New Ageism mixed with certain common spiritual attributes that, although called Christian, can be found in almost every known religion. Through decades of destructive influence and propaganda through media and academia, mainstream Christianity in the West has been reduced to one remaining commandment, vague and hard to pin-point which is “be nice.”
The fact of the matter is, putting aside all the other reasons surrounding this war that were enumerated at the beginning of this essay, what exists in the Middle East, or in The Old World, as some would call it, is a culture that is still devoted to principles concerning basic moral values, values that have not yet surrendered to the corrupting influence of Western media or Western money. Within the last 50 years, every culture has fallen before this corrupting power that seeks to enslave all men in such a way that the individual is reduced to the value of what he produces and what he consumes, and in pursuit of that method, the individuals behind this program have quietly but decisively removed every obstacle in their way, be it religion, culture, morals, tradition, or world view, through the methods of media, academia, and finance; that is, except the culture encapsulated in the Islamic/Arabic World.
By the description “Arabic/Islamic,” it should not be understood as solely a “Muslim” thing. The culture existing in the Arab world is held by both Christian and Muslim alike. There are millions of Christians, who have in essence the same culture with their Muslim counterparts in much the same way as most Americans, regardless of religion, have the same culture. It is those Christians and Muslims alike who reject these “modern” notions such as abortion, birth control, sodomy, pornography, usury banking, and “market value” of services and resources. They still view the family, the traditional family, with all its traditional roles, as the most important building block of their society, and they take very seriously anything that threatens it. They recognize the value of their children, and how dangerous the moral relativism of the West has become, threatening the stability of society directly. They recognize that if their children and society as a whole are subjected to ideas that promote moral decay for an extended period of time, what will eventually and unavoidably be produced is national decay.
One should consider the fact that the New World Order has used and is using all its resources and influence to emasculate and neutralize all opposition to its agenda in the world. The Catholic Church, once a political power to be feared by presidents and prime ministers the world over, has been rendered obsolete. Through mouthpieces such as John Paul II, the New World Order has been openly embraced, and if at times the church gets a little rambunctious and steps out of line, well, the NWO crowd merely runs new stories revealing allegations of pedophilia and abuse. The mainstream Protestant groups, led by influential people on the television and radio, may talk of the dangers of the NWO and the secularization of the West, yet still openly embrace Bush when he pushes through various pieces of legislation that rob us of our freedoms under the guise of protection from terrorism, as well as the practice of conveniently “forgetting” about Bush’s caving in to the pro-abortion lobby in various instances. So, with the exception of a few pockets of token resistance, there is no one left standing in the way of the NWO except the Arab/Muslim World.
If by some miracle the Arab/Muslim world is victorious against this onslaught, and the secular/atheistic influence of the NWO agenda is reduced to such a level as to allow the Christian West to regain its foothold where it once stood, it will be necessary to credit the religion of Islam and the Arab world for not buckling under in the face of extermination. And it will be we, the Christian West and Western Civilization, who will be the beneficiaries of “Islamic Extremism.”

In some sense, the outrage about according a degree of official status to Shariah in a Western country should come as no surprise. No legal system has ever had worse press. To many, the word “Shariah” conjures horrors of hands cut off, adulterers stoned and women oppressed. By contrast, who today remembers that the much-loved English common law called for execution as punishment for hundreds of crimes, including theft of any object worth five shillings or more? In the Muslim world, on the other hand, the reputation of Shariah has undergone an extraordinary revival in recent years. A century ago, forward-looking Muslims thought of Shariah as outdated, in need of reform or maybe abandonment. Today, 66 percent of Egyptians, 60 percent of Pakistanis and 54 percent of Jordanians say that Shariah should be the only source of legislation in their countries. Islamist political parties, like those associated with the transnational Muslim Brotherhood, make the adoption of Shariah the most prominent plank in their political platforms. And the message resonates. Wherever Islamists have been allowed to run for office in Arabic-speaking countries, they have tended to win almost as many seats as the governments have let them contest. The Islamist movement in its various incarnations — from moderate to radical — is easily the fastest growing and most vital in the Muslim world; the return to Shariah is its calling card.

You looked at pictures of a mass men’s party, with each groom smiling and accompanied by a young sister, niece, or cousin. Brides are seen at that wedding. It is also common for poor people in those areas to have group weddings, as celebrations to save costs. Well, it now seems as if whoever put this whole HAMAS PLAYS HOST TO PEDOPHILIA program on this site was perpetrating a giant slur or negative spin on a beautiful, otherwise-innocent (“success”-celebrating), money-saving mass marriage. And the young girls were flower girls, not brides, and sisters and cousins of persons getting married. And, by implication, falsely indicting a religion, Islam, and its practitioners or adherents. That is now what it seems. On the other hand, things are not always what they seem.
Therefore, I would like to see:
(1)Someone give us the actual date of these pictures/these marriages. (So we can obtain other pics/POVs to enlighten us further.)
2. Does anyone know a publication that has good pictures representing the whole event? Articles/write ups of this event in publications that we in the West would probably honor, such as The Christian Science Monitor, the New York Times, etc.? References, please.
3. Two people at least have said there were no wives there or no wives in the pictures. Were the wives there? Are there pictures of them, too, anywhere on the grounds?
4.Recently, one famous disgruntled Muslim ex-wife gasolined and set fire to a tent apart from the men at a wedding-to-be, and many persons, women and children, were killed and burned. Proving that scorned wives in the East as well as the West can be violent at times–and that segregation seems to be the norm at some Muslim wedding events, at least for much of the time. Do husbands and wives stand before an Imam or JP as they covenant with each other/make vows? Or is it an acknowledged covenant and the adult sexes are kept separate with separate “places” of celebrating on the same grounds?
Forgive our ignorance, please, we haven’t learned/been told. We are not stupid; we just do not know. Will some of you help us? And one person indicated there are many traditions, not just one practice. Will you tell us about this event specifically and others generally?
