Pigs may get their revenge against Islam.

They have been classified as filth (najasa) by shariah (Muslim) law.

A Muslim must purify himself of anything made impure by contact with a pig.

Swine are considered as vile and disgusting as “non-Muslims at war with Muslims, apostates from Islam, convicted married adulterers, and biting dogs.”

Yet more Muslims are likely to die of swine flu this year than the adherrents of any other religion.

The mass Islamic infection of the H1N1 virus is expected to occur during the five day hajj that will take place during the last week of November.

About 2.5 million Muslims from 160 countries usually make the pilgrimage to Mecca every year. Saudian Arabian authorities do not anticipate a decline in this year’s attendance at the event, since every Muslim is required to make at least one hajj during the span of his/her lifetime.

The Saudi officials say they are taking special steps to prevent the annual gathering of millions of Muslims from becoming a hub for spreading swine flu.

There exists little or no chance for the infection of Christians, Jews, and Hindus – - since non-Muslims are prohibited from setting foot in Islam’s holiest city.

The officials have asked some worshipers, including pregnant women and the elderly, not to make the pilgrimage and have asked the World Health Organization and other health agencies for assistance.

This year, America’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is playing a major role because of its experience with the new flu strain, but non-Muslim physicians and clinicians will be forbidden to treat any Islamist who collapses from walking around the Kaaba.

CDC consultants have spent time in Riyadh, flu experts at American medical schools have been called in and the U.S. Navy’s medical laboratory in Cairo is preparing to help.
