What is taking place in the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia?

What is being taught within this $6 million facility, replete with traditional minarets?

What are the ties between members of this radical mosque to terrorist groups, such as al Qaeda?

This mosque located in President Barack Obama’s backyard has been a magnet for militant Islamists from the time of its construction in 1983.

It has been established and sustained by wealthy Saudi Arabian dignitaries and businessmen, who uphold Wahhabi doctrine, including the holy war against Christians and Jews.

Major Malik Nidal Hasan, who was responsible for the Fort Hood Massacre, worshipped here along with several of the 9/11 hijackers.

Other prominent members have included:

Hani Hanjour, Who the FBI believes piloted the plane that crashed into the Pentagon.

Abdurahman Alamoudim, who is now behind bars for plotting terrorist acts,

Abdullan bin Laden, who helped direct the Taliban,

Mousa Abu Marzook, who was deported from the country for funneling millions to Hamas,

Ismail Elbarasse, who was collared for plotting to blow up the Bay Bridge and other potential terror targets in Baltimore,

Sheikh Mohammed al-Hanooti, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing,

Jamal al-Barzinji, who is under investigation for providing material support to Muslim terror groups,

Mohamed Hadid, a member of the “Golden Chain,” which provided support to al Qaeda,

Samir Salah, the founder of Safa Trust, a terrorist front, which federal agents raided after 9/11,

And Abdelhaleem Ashqar, who became a hero of the Dar al-Hijrah community for refusing to testify against his terrorist ties.

Anwar N. Aulaqi, the former imam of the mosque, provided counseling to Nawir al-Hazmi, Mohamed Atta’s second in command at 9/11, and Hani Hanjour, the pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon. He conducted closed door meetings with the hijackers and made arrangements for their lodging.

During the Friday prayer services at Dar al-Hijrah in 2001, Major Hasan was in attendance with al-Hazmi and Hanjour.

The funeral for Major Hasan’s mother was held there in May of that year.

The Major’s eyes “lit up” when he mentioned his deep respect for Imam Aulaqi’s teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at Fort Hood.

Aulaqi, an American-born Yemeni scholar, was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Charles Allen, a former under-secretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security, has described al-Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen, as an “al-Qaeda supporter, and former spiritual leader to three of the September 11 hijackers… who targets US Muslims with radical online lectures encouraging terrorist attacks from his new home in Yemen”.
