The Dove World Outreach Center, a non-denominational church in Gainesville, Florida, will celebrate “Burn the Koran” day on September 11.

Terry Jones, pastor of the church, says the burnings will be held on church grounds “in remembrance of the fallen victims of 9/11 and to stand against the evil of Islam. Islam is of the devil!”

On its website, The Dove World Outreach Center sells “Islam is of the Devil” T-shirts.

In response to the announcement, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling upon Muslims in the Gainesville area to host a “Share the Koran” by distributing copies of Islam’s holy text to neighbors, public officials, law enforcement officers and members of the press.

Pastor Terry Jones is calling upon Christians throughout the country to mail copies of the Koran to the church so that the congregation can create a massive bonfire.

As soon as the plans for “Burn the Koran” day were announced, one of the Church’s signs proclaiming “Islam is of the Devil” was vandalized.

“Free speech is not Sharia compliant,” Pastor Jones says, “and the Moslem Mafia (CAIR) is openly opposed to our signs and message. But this is America and we have the law on our side.”

He adds: The police defend us and our rights, the Fire Department have no problem with our having a bonfire on 9/11, and we will not be silenced.

Pastor Jones and members of his congregation say they got the idea for “Burn the Koran” day from a Facebook page campaign called “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day.”

That campaign was initiated in reaction to threats against cartoonists and artists drawing images of the prophet Mohammed, which is forbidden in Islam.

The Florida church states its mission as follows: “To expose Islam for what it is. It is a violent and oppressive religion that is trying to masquerade as a religion of peace, seeking to deceive our society.”

Yes, Omar bin Laden, the son of Osama bin Laden, is a terrorist who fought with his father in Afghanistan

Yes, Omar and other al Qaeda members are holed up in Iran where they sought shelter in the wake of the US-led attack on Tora Bora.

Yes, this noted jihadi leader is a threat to America’s national security.

And, yes, Omar and 20 other members of the bin Laden may be coming to America – - not as prisoners of war but political refugees.

In an interview today with al-Arabiya, Omar bin Laden said that his family is negotiating with officials from the Obama Administration on terms of sanctuary in the U.S.

Omar said that he and his family remain stranded in Iran since the Iranian government refuses to permit them to return to their ancestral home in Saudi Arabia.

“The Americans offered to help us out of Iran and even hinted at the possibility of receiving us in the U.S.,” he said in the interview, which was aired late yesterday and posted on the Dubai-based channel’s website.

Omar said neither he nor his brothers have been officially accused of terrorism by the U.S. or any other country.

A daughter of bin Laden, Iman, 17, was allowed to leave Iran for Syria earlier this year after taking refuge in the Saudi Embassy in Tehran. Her brother, Bakr, 16, also left Iran for the Syrian capital of Damascus in December.

In December 2001, more than five hundred al Qaeda and Taliban operatives, including Omar and Said bin Laden (Osama’s eldest son) escaped from their mountain fortress in Tora Bora, which is situated in the White Mountains of eastern Afghanistan.

The terrorist band scaled the mountains in the south along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and cut through Afghanistan’s southernmost provinces to head west to Iran, where they found safe haven.

In addition to Said and Omar bin Laden, the group included Mohammed Islam Haani, the mayor of Kabul during the Taliban regime; Saif al-Adel, the military commander of al Qaeda; and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who used his new place of refuge to launch attacks on the US troops in Iraq.

Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda’s second in command, also traveled to Iran, where he was spotted in the disguise of an Iran cleric with a black turban and dyed red beard.

Upon their arrival in Iran, the al Qaeda and Taliban band was received by Imad Mugniyah, the leader of Hezbollah, who had formed an alliance with Osama bin Laden in 1995.

The al Qaeda and Taliban guests were placed in safe houses controlled by SAVAMA, the Iranian intelligence services. These villas, in southern Iran, with swimming pools and saunas, were lavish even by American standards.

The refusal of the Iranian government to grant Omar bin Laden and his family permission to leave the country hints that a fissure may have opened between Sunni and Shiite terror groups in recent months.

AL QAEDA COUSINS SMUGGLED ACROSS SOUTHERN BORDER

AL SHABAAB CELLS NOW IN MAJOR AMERICAN CITIES

Hundreds of Somalis, including al Shabaab terrorists have been smuggled into the United States by Anthony Joseph Tracy, a native of Pennsylvania.

Tracy, who is white, converted to Islam while spending time in state prison.

In 2008, he traveled to the Horn of Africa, where he sold counterfeit documentation to Somalis who wished either to escape from their war-town country or to launch terror attacks on American soil.

Tracy was taken into custody in January by US officials and placed in a federal detention facility without parole.

According to the court testimony of Special Agent Thomas Eyre of the US Immigration and Naturalization Center (ICE), Tracy admitted to smuggling over 270 Somalis – - many “bad characters” – - into the United States from 2008 to 2010.

Despite his admission of illegal activity, Tracy was released from custody this week. ICE has offered no explanation of its failure to pursue prosecution.

None of the Somalis whom Tracy smuggled into the U.S. have been located.

Al Shabaab, an offspring of al Qaeda, has morphed into one of the world’s leading terrorist organizations.

Last Sunday, al Shabaab terrorists conducted two suicide bombings in the Ugandan capital of Kampala, killing 64, including one American.

In the wake of the bombings, U.S. officials have discovered that cells of al Shabaab have been planted in such major American cities as Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, St. Louis, and Lewiston, Maine.

In 2008, al Shabaab declared war on the United Nations and the United States.

Several mosques in Minneapolis/St. Paul have been identified as al Shabaab recruiting centers, including Hassan Mahamud Taqwa and Abubakar As-Siddique.

Special Agent Eyre and other ICE officials maintain that the Somalis, who obtained Tracy’s services, were equipped with bogus bank statements and passports from Kenya which allowed them to fly to Cuba.

Upon receiving Cuban visas, the Somalis flew to Mexico and other South American countries and entered to United States over its southern border.

How much money Tracy received for his services remains unknown.

Also unknown is an accurate assessment of the number of Somalis presently residing in the United States.

Some statisticians say 200,000. Others place the number at 500,000.

What remains known are the facts that over 70,000 Somalis now live in Minneapolis/St.Paul and over 40,000 in Lewiston, Maine.

In recent years, a number of American Somalis have returned to their native land to enlist in al-Shabaab and to take place in the group’s jihad against the U.N.-backed Somali Transitional Federal Government.

Shirwa Ahmed, the first militant to carry out a bombing in Somalia, was a U.S. citizen from Minnesota.

In 2008, al-Shabaab declared war on the United Nations and the United States.

$1.6 BILLION FOR ISLAMIC COMMUNITY

Thanks to U.S. taxpayers, an Islamic enclave is being carved out of the heart of the City of Brotherly Love.

The person doing the carving is Kenny Gamble, the author of such hit songs as “Love Train” and “Me and Mrs. Jones.”

So far Americans have shelled out $1.6 billion in federal grants, loans, and “charitable” gifts to create an alleged “Muslims-only” community.

A convert to Islam, Gamble, now known as Luqman Abdul Haqq, is affiliated with the National Ummah Movement which seeks to establish sovereign Islamic enclaves ruled by shariah (Islamic law) within major cities throughout the U.S.A. The movement was started by Jamil al-Amin (the former H. Rap Brown), who is now serving a life sentence at a maximum security prison for killing two police officers in Atlanta.

Gamble managed to collect the $1.6 billion through Universal Company, a so-called “charitable organization,” which he formed in 1993.

Gamble and his spokesmen say that the non-profit company provides a public service by cleaning up a blighted section of the south Philly, but local residents say that Universal has really used the $1.6 billion to create a Muslim ghetto. This allegation is supported by Gamble himself. Speaking to his fellow Islamists, the former songwriter quipped: “We are not here for Universal, we are here for Islam.”[1]

The proof is in the pudding. The 800 block of South 15th Street now contains the United Muslim Masjid, an Islamic center, and a madrassah (charter school). All of these organizations have been created and sustained by Gamble’s enterprise. Rotan Lee of the Philly YMCA says: “You look up and down the street and see men, women and children in traditional Muslim dress everywhere; you see the masjid right across from Kenny’s house and security guards on the corners in kufis.”

On the website of the Muslim Alliance of National American, the directors of Gamble’s company made the mistake of betraying their true intent by saying: “By the Blessing and Mercy of Allah (SWT), the efforts of Universal Companies serve as a national model for what can be done with commitment, compassion, focus and careful planning and execution. Just another proof positive of the words of the Qu’ran where Allah (SWT) states: ‘Let there arise from among you a small group of people, inviting to all that is good. They enjoin the good, and forbid the evil, and it is they who attain success.’ (3: 104).”[2]

Proof of Gamble’s ties to National Ummah Movement was provided by a conference call from Jamil al Amin to the United Muslim Masjid., a mosque G founded on 15th Street. A transcript from the mosque reads as follows: “…A highlight of one meeting was when we had Imam Jamil Al-Amin on speaker phone talking to us from his Georgia prison. MANA and its members have raised and donated several thousands of dollars to his family and legal defense team. Further proof of the Ummah connection comes from Gamble’s role in the creation of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA), an organization formed to free Jamil al-Amin from federal prison and to advance the Islamic take-over of the United States by “cultural jihad” – - pushing for black/Muslim privileges under the guise of equal opportunity and civil rights.

Some of the Ummah mosques maintain armed militias. Others provide training in marital arts and guerilla warfare. Almost all operate beneath the radar of local, state, and federal law enforcement officials.

On October 28, 2009, the FBI raided a warehouse in Detroit and two houses in Detroit and arrested eleven Ummah members on charges of mail fraud, the illegal possession of firearms, trafficking in stolen goods, and altering vehicle identification numbers.

In the course of the raid on the warehouse, Luqman Ameen Abdullah, the ringleader of the group, opened fire on the federal agents and was killed in the ensuing gunfight.

Luqman Abdullah was the imam of the Masjid al-Haqq in Detroit, a mosque that was part of the Ummah network.

He sought to claim a section of blight ravaged Detroit for his group in order to establish a sovereign Muslim enclave governed by sharia (Islamic law).

In his sermons, Imam Abdullah called upon his followers to launch an “offensive jihad” against U.S. officials and to carry and use firearms.

Imam Abdullah, along with Kenny Gamble, was a founder of MANA. Another founder was Siraj Wahaj, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and imam of Masjid al-Taqwa in Brooklyn.

The U. S. Census Bureau leases 6,654 square feet of space from Dar al-Hijrah, which has been labeled “America’s most radical mosque.”

The cost of the space to taxpayers is $23,000 a month.

The lease agreement with Dar al Hijrah shows that the government has been paying rent for the use of this space on Edsall Road in Alexandria, Virginia since November 2008.

A spokeswoman for the General Services Administration which oversees the Census Bureau refused to comment on the lease.

Fairfax County property records show that Dar al-Hijrah purchased the property in May 2008 for $5.8 million.

Federal officials are well aware of the radical nature of the mosque which was built in Falls Church, Virginia, with funding from Saudi Arabia.

A 2002 government report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection states that Dar al-Hijrah is “associated with Islamic extremists” and serves “as a front for Hamas activities in the U.S.”

Similarly, a 2007 government report states that the mosque has been under federal investigation for providing “aid and comfort” to so-called “bad organizations and members.”

Dar al-Hijrah has served as a magnet for militant Islamists. Over the years it has attracted an alarming number of terror supporters, terror facilitators, terror fundraisers, terror co-conspirators, and actual terrorists – - including at least two of the 9/11 hijackers who crashed the plane into the Pentagon.

The leaders and founders of the mosque have been accused of providing support to al Qaeda, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Hamas.

The phone number of the mosque was found in Hamburg, Germany within the apartment of Ramzi Bin ql-Shibh, a key planner of the 9/11 attacks and the roommate of Mohammad Atta.

Dar al-Hijrah served as the spiritual home of Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist, who murdered 13 soldiers and wounded 30 more on the military base at Fort Hood, Texas.

Anwar N. Awlaqi served for many years as the imam of Dar al-Hijrah. He has been singled out as the source of inspiration not only for Major Hasan, but also Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallah, the Nigerian underpants bomber.

YEMEN REFUSES TO EXTRADITE FALLS CHURCH TERROR BOSS

Yemen’s government has announced it will not extradite Anwar al-Awlaki, the U.S.-born jihadist cleric who is credited with inspiring the recent wave of anti-American terrorist plots by al Qaeda recruits.

Over the weekend, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al Qirbi said Mr. al-Awlaki would be tried in the Arabian Peninsula state once he is captured.

“The man the U.S. wants to be extradited will stand trial in Yemen under the national law,” Mr. al Qirbi was quoted as saying in the Yemen state news agency, al Saba.

Earlier in the weekend, Mr. al Qirbi told the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Dar that “because of his recent terrorist activity, al-Awlaki is now wanted by the Yemeni government. Hence, he must be tried … in his homeland, but never by other governments.”

Mr. al-Awlaki, who is both a Yemeni and U.S. citizen, is considered a high-value target in President Obama’s war on al Qaeda. Earlier this year, Dennis C. Blair, the director of national intelligence, told the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence that the United States could, under special circumstances, order a lethal attack on U.S. citizens who join al Qaeda.

On Christmas Eve, the United States launched an armed drone attack on a compound in Yemen where Mr. al-Awlaki was thought to be staying. The attack missed him.

Mr. al-Awlaki is the spiritual leader of the group Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, an offshoot of Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda. The group is thought to have several thousand armed followers and operates in areas of Yemen that are not under the full control of the San’a government.

Andy Johnson, a former staff director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, said in an interview that Mr. al-Awlaki is like Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, because of his success in radicalizing recruits.

“Awlaki clearly is a driving force in the effort to recruit and radicalize people to carry out jihadist or extremist attacks,” said Mr. Johnson, who is now director of national security programs for the think tank Third Way.

Mr. al-Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico, was in e-mail contact with Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who is charged in the killings of 13 people and woundings of 30 others at Fort Hood, Texas, on Nov. 5.

Mr. al-Awlaki also was involved in recruiting Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian national who is charged in the Christmas Day attempt to detonate a bomb aboard a Northwest Airline flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. The Washington Times first reported in December that Mr. al-Awlaki personally “blessed” the operation.

Faisal Shahzad, the suspect in the attempted car bombing in New York’s Times Square, reportedly told investigators that he was inspired by Mr. al-Awlaki’s online sermons on jihad.

Mr. al-Awlaki is widely credited with bringing al Qaeda’s narrative that the U.S. is at war with Islam to an English-speaking audience on the Internet.

A former U.S. ambassador to Yemen, Barbara Bodine, said the United States lacked a formal extradition treaty with Yemen, and that it was against Yemeni law to extradite a Yemeni national to stand trial in a foreign country.

“There is a constitutional prohibition against turning over any Yemeni citizen to a foreign country,” said Ms. Bodine, who is now diplomat in residence at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of International Affairs. “Unless we want them to go against their constitution, they cannot do it.”

Ms. Bodine said she did not think the announcement over the weekend was a sign that Yemen was backsliding in its counterterrorism cooperation with the United States.

State Department spokesman Phillip J. Crowley agreed. Asked about the Yemeni foreign minister’s remarks, he said, “We are encouraged by Yemen’s willingness to take action against various extremist groups, especially over the last year.”

Tom Malinowski, the Washington advocacy director for Human Rights Watch, said that if there were a choice between Mr. al-Awlaki’s capture and his execution by drone strike, U.S. counterterrorism officials probably would prefer his capture.

“It’s not obvious at all that they would choose to kill him,” Mr. Malinowski said. “Letting the Yemeni authorities arrest and put him on trial might strike some people as risky, because five years from now he could buy his way out. But at least you get the opportunity to interrogate him, plus his computer could be exploited, which would be incinerated in a drone attack.”

Mr. Malinowski added, however: “In reality, they are targeting him anyway.”

Since 2002, U.S. counterterrorism authorities have used drone strikes inside Yemen against suspected al Qaeda and other jihadist targets. The standard under international law is that the person authorizing the strike must determine that the attack would not cause disproportionate harm to civilians. Yemen’s cooperation with the U.S. on counterterrorism is shrouded in secrecy by both sides.

Mary Habeck, a former special adviser for strategic planning at the National Security Council under President George W. Bush, said Yemen’s government is “quite sensitive to Sunni radicalism as a threat.”

“They would like to get rid of Awlaki and the extremists in general, but at the same time they cannot be seen as bowing to American demands. It opens them up to charges that they are lackeys of the Americans,” she said.

Ms. Habeck, now a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, added: “This leaves few options for us and makes more understandable the Obama decision to target Awlaki.”

The radical Deobandi movement, an ultra-conservative manifestation of Islam, is spreading throughout the United States without capturing the attention of major media outlines.

Sheikh Riyadh ul Haq, one of the movement’s most influential preachers, has voiced his support of al Qaeda and the Taliban and his hatred of all Western values.

The movement, which calls upon Muslims to “shed blood for Allah,” already controls more than half the mosques in Great Britain.

In America, the Deobandi has gained solid footing in America thanks to the efforts of Tablighi Jamaat missionaries.

One such missionary was Sheikh Mubarek Gilani who set up over forty compounds for jihadi training throughout the country, including Islamberg in Hancock, New York.

After undergoing training at these compounds, the Muslim recruits are dispatched to Pakistan where many have joined forces with al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Jamaat ul-Fuqra, Gilani’s organization, is fully funded by Tablighi Jamaat with contributions from wealthy Saudi benefactors.

The same group supports 600 of Britain’s 1,350 mosques.

The Deobandi also remains largely responsible for the spread of radical Islam throughout the national prison system.

The prison undertaking was led by Sheikh Ismail Abdul Rahman, who established the Sankore Mosque within Green Haven prison in New York state. At present, 90% of the U.S. converts to Islam are African American; 60% become Muslim in prison.

In Britain, seventeen of the 26 Islamic seminaries are run by Deobandis. These seminaries produce 80 per cent of the country’s Muslim clerics.

Tablighi Jamaat was founded in 1926, in India, by a Deobandi scholar, Muhammad Ilyas, who wanted to raise Islamic awareness among rural Muslims in south Asia. He promised them that by obeying Islamic laws and following the example of the Prophet Muhammad in their personal lives they would one day “dominate over non-believers” and become “masters of everything on this earth”.

Ishaq Patel, Tablighi Jamaat’s first emir (leader) in Britain, is said to have been on pilgrimage in Mecca when Ilyas’s successor gave him a long-term mission to win “the whole of Britain to Islam”.

Yoginder Sikand, a Muslim expert on the movement, says that its ethos of “social and cultural separatism and insularity” seeks “to minimize contacts with people of other faiths”.

Ebrahim Rangooni, a leading proponent of the movement, says that Tablighi Jamaat through the Deobandi seeks to “rescue the ummah [the global Muslim community] from the culture and civilization of the Jews, the Christians and [other] enemies of Islam”. Its aim, he writes, is to “create such hatred for their ways as human beings have for urine and excreta”.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS SANCTIONS FEMALE CIRCUMCISION

Realizing that the Islamic population in the U.S. has soared to ten million, the American Academy of Pediatrics wants American doctors receive legal permission to perform a ceremonial pinprick or “nick” on the genitalia of Muslim baby girls.

The academy’s committee on bioethics, in a policy statement last week, said some pediatricians had suggested that current federal law, which “makes criminal any non-medical procedure performed on the genitals” of a girl in the United States, has had the unintended consequence of driving some families to take their daughters to other countries to undergo circumcision.

“It might be more effective if federal and state laws enabled pediatricians to reach out to families by offering a ritual nick as a possible compromise to avoid greater harm,” the group said.

Opponents of female genital mutilation, or F.G.M., have decried the Academy’s stance.

“I am sure the academy had only good intentions, but what their recommendation has done is only create confusion about whether F.G.M. is acceptable in any form, and it is the wrong step forward on how best to protect young women and girls,” said Representative Joseph Crowley, Democrat of New York, who recently introduced a bill to toughen federal law by making it a crime to take a girl overseas to be circumcised. “F.G.M. serves no medical purpose, and it is rightfully banned in the U.S.”

Georganne Chapin, executive director of an advocacy group called Intact America, said she was “astonished that a group of intelligent people did not see the utter slippery slope that we put physicians on” with the new policy statement. “How much blood will parents be satisfied with?”

Ms. Chapin added: “There are countries in the world that allow wife beating, slavery and child abuse, but we don’t allow people to practice those customs in this country. We don’t let people have slavery a little bit because they’re going to do it anyway, or beat their wives a little bit because they’re going to do it anyway.”

A member of the academy’s bioethics committee, Dr. Lainie Friedman Ross, associate director of the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago, said the panel’s intent was to issue a “statement on safety in a culturally sensitive context.”

Dr. Friedman Ross said that the committee members “oppose all types of female genital cutting that impose risks or physical or psychological harm,” and consider the ritual nick “a last resort,” but that the nick is “supposed to be as benign as getting a girl’s ears pierced. It’s taking a pin and creating a drop of blood.”

She said the panel had only heard hackneyed anecdotes from worried doctors.

“If we just told parents, ‘No, this is wrong,’ our concern is they may take their daughters back to their home countries, where the procedure may be more extensive cutting and may even be done without anesthesia, with unsterilized knives or even glass,” she said. “A just-say-no policy may end up alienating these families, who are going to then find an alternative that will do more harm than good.”

More than 130 million women and girls worldwide have undergone female genital cutting, according to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. It is mostly performed on girls younger than 15 in countries including Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia. Consequences can include severe complications with pregnancy, childbirth and sexual dysfunction.

The academy’s statement acknowledged that opponents of the procedure, “including women from African countries, strongly oppose any compromise that would legitimize even the most minimal procedure.”

Dr. Friedman Ross said, “If you medicalize it and say it’s permissible, is there a possibility that some people will misunderstand it and go beyond a nick? Yes.”

But she added the risk that people denied the ceremonial procedure, usually on the clitoris, would opt for the more harmful one was much more dangerous.

And the statement said that, “in some countries where FGC is common, some progress toward eradication or amelioration has been made by substituting ritual ‘nicks’ for more severe forms.” The Last Crusade can find no reported accounts or other evidence to support the statement regarding “ritual nicks”.

(New York, NY) On Friday, May 7, 2010, Fox News’ show America Live featured a representative from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that was founded by Hamas operatives and has been named by the U.S. government as a party to the financing of Hamas.

During the show, host Megyn Kelly asked CAIR’s National Legislative Director Corey Saylor to comment about radical Muslims who threatened the creators of the cartoon South Park with violence. Kelly neglected to mention that CAIR, itself, is associated with radical Islam.

Various CAIR representatives have made a number of appearances on Fox News shows as guests without mention of the group’s ties to Hamas or terrorist financing.

Chairman of Americans Against Hate (AAH) Joe Kaufman stated, “It is apparent that Fox News and its shows’ hosts wish to legitimize CAIR by giving the pro-terrorist group a forum to speak. This has happened too many times in the recent past to be given a pass as a small error in judgment. If Fox wishes to be considered a station of integrity, it will end this dangerous trend immediately.”

ISLAMBERG RELATED TO PLANNED TIMES SQUARE BOMBING?

Pakistani militants are planning a wave of strikes against American targets following the failed bombing of Times Square, according to analysts.

“Messaging analysis and other indicators are increasingly pointing to a high threat of additional strikes utilizing the same or varying tactics against a variety of targets, most likely focusing on mass casualties, in the days and weeks ahead,” the IntelCenter report concluded, though it said that other scenarios were possible.

Tehrik-e-Taliban, a Pakistani terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the failed bombing of Times Square in New York on Sunday.

The group also claimed credit for the attack on a Sri Lankan cricket team on March 3, 2009, and the Lahore bombing of May 27, 2009, which killed 35 people and injured 250.

The leader of Tehrik e-Taliban is Baitullah Mehsud, a Pashto warlord, who commands 5,800 fighters. Some of his fighters are American Muslims, who may have been trained at Islamberg and other Jamaat ul-Fuqra compounds throughout the United States.

Many of the African Americans, who are trained at the ul-Fuqra compound, are sent to Pakistan to participate in the great jihad.

Sheikh Mubarek Gilani, the leader of ul-Fuqra, lives within an armed fortress in Lahore, Pakistan.

IntelCenter has concluded that the two subsequent video messages, threatening further strikes without detailing specific targets or dates, had been recorded for use once the first attack had taken place.

“This may have been done because the operational cell(s) on the ground had general timing guidance but were able to set the final execution time based on its readiness and target availability,” it said.

Many experts initially dismissed the Taliban’s claims of responsibility, questioning whether the Tehrik e-Taliban fighters possess the capacity to launch an attack so far from their bases in Pakistan’s north-western tribal belt.

Now the arrest of a Pakistani man, Faisal Shahzad, in connection with the Times Square bomb has refocused attention on the Pakistani terrorist group and its potential links to jihadi groups with global ambitions.

Faisal Shahzad, 30, is a naturalized U.S. citizen who resided in Shelton, Connecticut. Like the other Tehrik e-Taliban combatants, the suspect in the attempted Times Square bombing is also a Pashto.

Shahzad, however, seemed to lack proper training in launching a terror attack. He loaded his SUV with 100 pounds of harmless fertilizer – - made from cow manure – - which he attempted to detonate by the use of M88 fireworks attached to small propane tanks.

Upon igniting the fireworks as a fuse, the would-be jihadi neglected to turn on the propane.

Here is what Mayor Bloomberg said on CBSBloomberg later told CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric that the suspect behind the bombing attempt could be a domestic terrorist angry at the government who acted alone.

“If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Homegrown, or maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything,” he said.

In the wake of attempts by Rick Warren and other evangelical Protestant leaders to forge a rapprochement between Christians and Muslims, the Institute on Religion and Democracy (IRD) is calling upon all American Christians to take a militant stand against the expansion of sharia (Islamic law) in the West.

IRD has issued a statement which condemns the trend in countries, including Britain and the United States, to capitulate to Islamic demands.

In particular, the statement decries recent incidents in which political correctness has led to the banning of an advertisement deemed offensive to Muslims on the Miami-Dade county transit system and the blacking-out by some cable companies of an episode of “South Park” which depicts the Prophet Muhammad.

The document also cites wide-ranging examples of authorities accommodating Islamist demands, among them a draft constitution in Kenya that would give an official place to Islamic Khadi courts — effectively creating a different set of rules for Muslims.

IRD Religious Liberty Program Director Faith J.H. McDonnell says: “Churches should encourage free societies to refuse censorship in the service of ‘anti-blasphemy’ and resist efforts to create different courts and law codes for different religious groups.”

On its website, the IRD calls itself “an ecumenical alliance of U.S. Christians working to reform their churches’ social witness, in accord with biblical and historic Christian teachings, and to contribute to the renewal of democratic society at home and abroad.”

Last July, Rev. Warren, pastor of the highly influential Saddleback Church, gave the keynote address at the annual gathering of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). ISNA, according to noted Islamic commentator Daniel Pipes, “works to apply the Shari’a, or Islamic law, a medieval code that denies dignity, civility and freedom to non-Muslims.”

“I come to you today with a spirit of love and a spirit of friendship and a spirit of deep respect. I love my dear, dear Muslim friends, my next door neighbor and so many that are friends, and I love you,” Rev. Warren said.

During the course of his 20-minute address, Warren made no mention of the fact that Islam remains the common denominator in every major conflict throughout the world and that Islamic law demands the forceful subjection of the global community to its principles.

Rev. Warren rather said that Muslims and Christians can work together by “maintaining our separate traditions,” and “maintaining our convictions without compromise.”
