FBI FOLLIES EXPOSED

JFK PLOT A PLOY

Russell Defreitas, 67, a US citizen born in Guyana, and Abdul Kadir, 58, a resident of Guyana, have been found guilty of conspiring to blow up buildings, fuel tanks and pipelines at the JFK Airport in the New York City borough of Queens.

The two jihadi wannabees, who were arrested in June 2007, now face up to life in prison.

Defreitas, who had worked at the airport, provided knowledge of its facilities and layout, US prosecutors said, while Kadir, an engineer, helped with technical aspects such as how to blow up the buried fuel pipelines.

Defense attorneys for the men portrayed them as all bluster and no substance. Prosecutors said Defreitas and Kadir did more than just talk and “took concrete steps to make this plan a reality.”

But few in the courtroom could deny that the two Muslims who sought to kill thousands of Americans and to cripple the US economy were victims of entrapment.

The JFK plot was conceived not by a radical Islamic group but rather by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

It was engineered, as court records show, by an attempt to capture Adnan el Shukrijumah, the Most Wanted Terrorist in the Western hemisphere.

Shukrijumah, a native American, has been singled out by al Qaeda to spearhead the next attack on American soil – - an attack that has been labeled “the American Hiroshima” by FBI Director Robert Mueller and other intelligence officials.

The search for Shukrijumah got underway in March 2003 with the arrest of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Pakistan and the information on his computer that the American jihadi, who allegedly received nuclear training at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, was singled out to serve as the next Muhammad Atta.

A $5 million reqard was placed on Shukrijumah’s head, a 24 hour hotline for information concerning his whereaboutrs was established, and special FBI office to supervise the massive manhunt was set up in southern Florida.

In April 2003, the FBI learned that Shukrijumah had made his way to Guyana, the homeland of his Muslim father.

In Georgetown, Guyana, Shukrijumah came under the protection of Farouk Razac, a family friend and well-heeled financier.

He was spotted at the Swiss House Cambio, Razac’s money exchange, by several witnesses, including George Bacchus, a law enforcement informant.

At the Cambio, Shukrijumah met one of Razac’s closest clients – - Imam Muhammed Hassan Abrahemi, the director of the International Islamic College for Advanced Studies, a small Shiite school in Georgetown that received large amounts of revenue from the government of Iran.

He became acquainted with Abdul Nur, a civil engineer, who ran errands for Razac; Abdul Kadir, who served as the assistant director at Abrahemi’s Islamic College; and Russell Defreitas, a member of the Guyanese Parliament and leader of Jamaat ul-Muslimeen.

This new association would produce a trial of corpses leading to a plot to a botched FBI sting and an attempt to blow up the fuel line that feeds the JFK International Airport in New York.

The first victim was Abrahemi, who was kidnapped by two masked men as he was leaving the Islamic College on April 2, 2004. Several days later, his body was discovered within a shallow grave on the outskirts of Georgetown. The hit appeared to be professional. Abrahemi had been shot twice in the back of the head while assuming a kneeling position. His mouth had been taped shut with duct tape, and his hands and feet were bound by nylon cords. The perpetuators of the crime have never been caught.

By this time, the FBI had managed to infiltrate Jamaat ul-Muslimeen and made use of undercover agents to pose as jihadis and to work with Nur, Kadir, and Dufreitas in an attempt to lure the elusive Shukrijumah into a trap.

The undercover agents provided the terrorist group with money and logistical support, compliments of US taxpayers, to launch a plot to blow up a system of jet fuel supply tanks and pipelines that feed fuel to the JFK International Airport in Queens, New York.

Later, U. S. Attorney Roslynn Mauskoff would appear before the press to say that the planned attack represented “one of the most chilling plots imaginable” – - a plot which might have caused “unthinkable devastation.”

In reality, the plot was a ploy since exploding the fuel tanks represented a technical impossibility. Jet fuel does not produce explosive force, and the pipelines and fuel tanks that are buried beneath Queens have safety valves to prevent any mishap.[i]

The FBI had assumed that a well-oiled scheme to blow up a massive international airport and an entire borough of Manhattan would lure Shukrijumah from his hiding place. The assumption proved to be incorrect. Shukrijumah failed to appear at any of planning sessions in Trinidad and Guyana, and the federal officials were left not only with a hefty bill for the cockamamie scheme but also the creation of a new and financially flush arm of Jamaat ul-Muslimeen.

Nur, Kadir, Dufreitas and Kareem Ibrahim, a fourth operative, were taken into custody albeit several the arrests were a result of entrapment.[ii] “We thought he could be the invisible hand. He’s always in the shadows, particularly in [the Caribbean]. He’s passed through it, he’s known, his name came up in the conversations. He would have been the prize,” an FBI official later confirmed.

On May 7, 2007, two months after the airport plot went array, Farouk Razac was found dead in his Georgetown home with a wound to his head and marks around his neck. An autopsy report concluded that he had died of asphyxiation due to ligature strangulation. Carol Ann Lynch, Razac’s wife, was later charged with the homicide but few observers believed that the petite Lynch, who served as the reigning Miss South America, was capable of the crime.[iii]

Meanwhile, federal officials remain at a loss to locate the country’s leading terror suspect.

OIL PRICES TO SKYROCKET

Iran is the fourth-largest oil producing country in the world; yet, it is now running out of gas.

The Shiite country lacks the refining capacity to transform their oil reserves into gasoline or diesel.

In order to meet the demands of domestic consumption, Teheran must import 130,000 to 150,000 barrels of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined petroleum products a day.

Without such imports, the Iranian economy would be crippled; air transport would be brought to a standstill; trains and buses would stop running; out-fired power plants would go dark; and trucks delivering vital supplies to cities would remain parked in garage warehouses.

The problem has been greatly exacerbated by the economic sanctions against Iran which President Obama signed into law on July 1.

The sanctions impose stiff penalties on any company – - foreign and domestic – - that delivers refined petroleum products to Iran or that assists the Iranian government with domestic refining.

Royal Dutch Shell, India’s Reliance Industries, Russian oil-giant Lukoil, Malaysia’s Petronas, and Swiss independent oil trader Glencore have halted sales of gasoline and refined oil to Teheran.

Lloyd’s of London – - which accounts for 20% of the global marine insurance market – - will no longer insure or reinsure petroleum shipments to Iran.

The problem is further complicated by the decision of the Ahmadinejad regime to secure public support by subsidizing the cost of domestic fuel prices. Motorists in Teheran pay less than $.35 a gallon for gasoline – - about one-seventh of the costs for Americans.

As a gesture of solidarity with Iran, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez pledged to supply 20,000 barrels of gasoline a day. But Chavez has been unable to keep this promise since three of his largest refineries are located in the United States.

The only solution for the Iranian government in this current crisis, according to economist Bob Czeschin, resides in its attempt to cut off oil supplies to the West by blocking the narrow Strait of Hormuz through which thousands of freighters carrying one third of the world’s oil supplies pass every day.

This plan could be implemented with little or no difficulty. Czeschin explains: “A couple of tankers sunk in the right place could easily close the Strait and cut off those supplies. So could anti-shipping mines – - which Iran has in abundance.”

Only by such tactics, Czeschin and other economists believe, can President Ahmadinejad ward off the possibility of a popular uprising, if not civil war.

In any case, the current situation is certain to cause oil prices to skyrocket and the lives of middle-class Americans to undergo an immediate and drastic transformation.

An Arizona sheriff believes the Supreme Court will ultimately have to overturn Wednesday’s ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton that blocked implementation of most of the new state measure cracking down on those who are in the country illegally.

Judge Susan Bolton handed a victory to President Barack Obama and supporters of illegal aliens by preventing the most significant sections of Arizona’s new immigration law from taking effect on Thursday.

She gutted the sections that required officers to check a person’s immigration status while enforcing other laws, the requirement that immigrants carry their papers at all times, and the section which bans illegal immigrants from seeking employment in public places.

Sheriff Larry Dever of Cochise County believes this case will be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.

“Our best chance at a favorable decision is…to solve this once and for all. States have a right to protect themselves,” Sheriff Dever says. He adds that “the lame argument in federal government that this law somehow interferes with their ability to enforce immigration law is just ludicrous” because “they’re not getting it done to begin with.”

Cochise County, which borders Mexico, is one of the main routes into the U.S. for illegal aliens.

Sheriff Dever maintains that the federal government has “been talking about partnerships and empowerment since September 11 with state and local law enforcement authorities to get the job done. Arizona steps up [and] says, ‘We’re ready to take on our part,’ and they sue us.”

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he is not surprised by Judge Bolton’s ruling, and adds it will have little impact on his planned “crime-suppression” operation scheduled for this weekend.

“That’s not going to affect our human-smuggling or employer-sanction investigations that wasn’t addressed in that law,” Sheriff Arpaio insists.

INDONESIA’S ANSWER TO STARBUCKS

Indonesia’s top religious body has declared a premium coffee made from civet cat droppings fit for Muslims to drink.

The proclamation has brought relief to farmers who can now continue exporting Kopi Luwak, the world’s most expensive coffee.

The civet cats are found throughout Indonesia.

In parts of Sri Lanka, civets are considered a nuisance since they howl throughout the night and litter the attics and rooftops of common households.

But their excretions provide the mainstay of income for many Indonesian farmers and peasants.

The civets eat coffee berries which they defecate in clumps for harvesters to collect. The fecal material is dried in the sun and packaged for consumers.

In the United States, the price of a pound of Kopi Luwak varies from $600 to $1,400 per pound.

The Last Crusade reminds our readers: The United States has far more Moslems than does the United Kingdom.

MASSIVE BONFIRE EXPECTED

The Dove World Outreach Center, a non-denominational church in Gainesville, Florida, will celebrate “Burn the Koran” day on September 11.

Terry Jones, pastor of the church, says the burnings will be held on church grounds “in remembrance of the fallen victims of 9/11 and to stand against the evil of Islam. Islam is of the devil!”

On its website, The Dove World Outreach Center sells “Islam is of the Devil” T-shirts.

In response to the announcement, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling upon Muslims in the Gainesville area to host a “Share the Koran” by distributing copies of Islam’s holy text to neighbors, public officials, law enforcement officers and members of the press.

Pastor Terry Jones is calling upon Christians throughout the country to mail copies of the Koran to the church so that the congregation can create a massive bonfire.

As soon as the plans for “Burn the Koran” day were announced, one of the Church’s signs proclaiming “Islam is of the Devil” was vandalized.

“Free speech is not Sharia compliant,” Pastor Jones says, “and the Moslem Mafia (CAIR) is openly opposed to our signs and message. But this is America and we have the law on our side.”

He adds: The police defend us and our rights, the Fire Department have no problem with our having a bonfire on 9/11, and we will not be silenced.

Pastor Jones and members of his congregation say they got the idea for “Burn the Koran” day from a Facebook page campaign called “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day.”

That campaign was initiated in reaction to threats against cartoonists and artists drawing images of the prophet Mohammed, which is forbidden in Islam.

The Florida church states its mission as follows: “To expose Islam for what it is. It is a violent and oppressive religion that is trying to masquerade as a religion of peace, seeking to deceive our society.”

Who is Fethullah Gulen?

The Turkish pasha presents himself as a moderate Muslim who espouses peace, goodwill, and interfaith dialogue.

He has produced a documentary to attack the claims against his movement that have been made on this website – - including the claim that he maintains an armed fortress in Saylorsburg, PA.

But trips to Gulen’s complex prove otherwise.

His neighbors have complained of fully automatic gunfire erupting from his complex and of a low flying helicopter that combs the area in search of any intruders.

Is Gulen really a benign old Muslim gentleman who retired to the Pocono Mountains from his native Turkey for reasons of health?

Is he really an educator of international renown?

Has he really captured the love and admiration of political and religious leaders, including Hillary Clinton and Pope John Paul II?

Or is he the alleged “most dangerous Islamist on planet earth, a committed jihadi who manifests the Muslim practice of taqiyya and seeks to establish a universal caliphate ruled by shariah?

Little about Gulen, as U.S. Attorney Patrick Meehan discovered, is known – - not even his date of birth. Some of his followers maintain that he was born in 1934; others 1938; and still others 1942.

On his website, Gulen says that he received the UNECO award from Pope John Paul II in October, 2005.

But the John Paul II died on April 2, 2005.

Gulen, in his application for permanent residency in the United States, maintained that he was “an educator of extraordinary ability and renown.”

But Gulen does not possess an elementary school education, let alone a high school diploma. He is semi-literate and speaks no English.

To substantiate his ability and renown, Gulen, on his application, provides a long list of his scholarly works. But all of his works have been published by The Light Publishing Company and Tughra Press, two firms that are owned by the Gulen movement.

Gulen states that his works are the subject of entire courses in schools throughout the country. Maybe they constitute the subject of classes in the Gulen charter schools that he has established throughout Central Asia, Europe, and the United States. But not one leading college or university offers a course on Gulen and his educational philosophy.

In his application, Gulen further maintains that he has delivers scholarly addresses to gatherings of scholars and academics. But no audio or video evidence, let alone first-hand report, exists that these speeches were ever delivered.

Who is Fethullah Gulen?

Are the hundreds of charter schools that he has established throughout the U.S.A. really places where children are indoctrinated in the principles of political Islam and the plot to restore the Ottoman Empire?

The answers come from Gulen himself. In 1999, Turkish television aired footage of Gülen delivering sermons to a crowd of followers, Gulen revealed his aspirations for an Islamist Turkey ruled by Shari‘a (Islamic law) as well as the methods that should be used to attain that goal by saying:

“You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers … until the conditions are ripe, they [the followers] must continue like this. If they do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads, and Muslims will suffer everywhere, like in the tragedies in Algeria, like in 1982 [in] Syria … like in the yearly disasters and tragedies in Egypt. The time is not yet right.

You must wait for the time when you are complete and conditions are ripe, until we can shoulder the entire world and carry it …

You must wait until such time as you have gotten all the state power, until you have brought to your side all the power of the constitutional institutions in Turkey … Until that time, any step taken would be too early—like breaking an egg without waiting the full forty days for it to hatch. It would be like killing the chick inside.

The work to be done is [in] confronting the world. Now, I have expressed my feelings and thoughts to you all—in confidence … trusting your loyalty and secrecy. I know that when you leave here—[just] as you discard your empty juice boxes, you must discard the thoughts and the feelings that I expressed here.”

He continued:

When everything was closed and all doors were locked, our houses of isik [light] assumed a mission greater than that of older times. In the past, some of the duties of these houses were carried out by madrasas [Islamic schools], some by schools, some by tekkes [Islamist lodges] … These isik homes had to be the schools, had to be madrasas, [had to be] tekkes all at the same time. The permission did not come from the state, or the state’s laws, or the people who govern us. The permission was given by God … who wanted His name learned and talked about, studied, and discussed in those houses, as it used to be in the mosques.”

In another sermon, Gülen said:

“Now it is a painful spring that we live in. A nation is being born again. A nation of millions [is] being born—one that will live for long centuries, God willing … It is being born with its own culture, its own civilization. If giving birth to one person is so painful, the birth of millions cannot be pain-free. Naturally we will suffer pain.

It won’t be easy for a nation that has accepted atheism, has accepted materialism, a nation accustomed to running away from itself, to come back riding on its horse. It will not be easy, but it is worth all our suffering and the sacrifices.”

And, in yet another sermon, he told his followers:

“The philosophy of our service is that we open a house somewhere and, with the patience of a spider, we lay our web to wait for people to get caught in the web; and we teach those who do. We don’t lay the web to eat or consume them but to show them the way to their resurrection, to blow life into their dead bodies and souls, to give them a life.”

What takes place in the Gulen charter schools that receive millions from the American taxpayer?

Noted Middle Eastern scholar Rachel Sharon-Krespin writes: “His (Gulen’s) followers target youth in the eighth through twelfth grades, mentor and indoctrinate them in the ışıkevi, educate them in the Fethullah schools, and prepare them for future careers in legal, political, and educational professions in order to create the ruling classes of the future Islamist, Turkish state.”

Even more telling is a comment from Nurettin Veren, Gulen’s right hand man for 35 years, who says: “These schools are like shop windows. Recruitment and Islamization are carried out through night classes.”

Is Gulen really dangerous and a threat to the United States and the Western World?

Gulen, on his website, says that he came to the United States in 1998 for reasons of health, since he allegedly suffers from diabetes.

But, in truth, Gulen fled his native Turkey to avoid prosecution on charges that he was attempting to undermine Turkey’s secular government with the objective of establishing an Islamic government.

Court records show that he possesses more than $25 billion in financial assets.

Under the Justice and Development Party – - Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP – - a party which Gulen created from his headquarters in Pennsylvania and Houston, Texas – - the reclusive pasha has gained control of the Turkish government.

Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a Gulen disciple – - as is Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul.

Thanks to such Islamists, Turkey has transformed from a secular state into an Islamic country with 85,000 active mosques – - one for every 350- citizens – - the highest number per capita in the world, 90,000 imams, more imams than teachers and physicians – - and thousands of state-run Islamic schools.

Despite the rhetoric of European Union accession, Turkey has transferred its alliance from Europe and the United States to Russia and Iran. It has moved toward friendship with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria and created a pervasive anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, and anti-America animus throughout the populace.

His movement with six million adherents has spread throughout Central Asia and has served to unite such newly created Russian republics as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan into a pan-Islamic state.

These countries were populated by Turks – – Turks who were once part of the Ottoman Empire – – Turks who still speak Turkish and practice Turkish customs.

Turkey, under the AKP, has forged a strong alliance with Iran. This alliance was largely achieved through the workings of the Gulen movement among the Azeri population of Iran who speak Turkish rather than Farsi.

In the wake of the AKP’ attempt to lead a fleet of ships, filled with pro-Palestinian activists, through the Gaza blockade on May 31, Turkey has strengthened its ties to Syria, Lebanon and much of the Muslim world. Placards depicting the smiling face of Tayyip Erdogan are omnipresent in Saudi Arabia.

Gulen’s dream of creating a universal caliphate is becoming a reality, and he has garnered support from such Us dignitaries as Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.

In May, Gulen created his latest lobbying group in Washington, D.C. – - the Assembly of Turkic Federations (ATAF), which already has shelled out millions to American politicians so that they will remain sensitive to his efforts to further the cause of militant Islam.

ATAF celebrated its formation with a gala celebration in a plush lounge of the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Among those in attendance were U.S. Senators Richard Lugar, Robert Casey, Frank Lautenberg, Jeff Ningaman, Roger Wicker, Mark Warner, Kay Hagen, and fifty-three members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
